Before the gig in Lake Tahoe
The video below is me talking into my iPhone before I played at the Ritz Carlton in Northstar ski resort, Lake Tahoe. Amazing scenery there! I’m totally enjoying playing for the vacation crowds at a ski resort again. Everyone is in a great mood and I’m surrounded by the beauty of the mountains. Next time I’ll take the gum out of my mouth. 🙂

Ski Day before Northstar Gig!
I got to ski today! First day of the season for me. I play at the Northstar Ritz Carlton tomorrow so I decided to come up to Lake Tahoe a day early and get a day of skiing in. I skied with some new friends at Squaw Valley.

Club Fox Jam, Redwood City, California
OMG 🙂 What a great time last night at the Club Fox open mic night in Redwood City. This night is hosted by Vince Caminiti and I’ve heard about ever since I moved to the bay area. The night is hosted in a cool old theatre venue in the theatre district of Redwood City. Last night the host band was the Lara Price Band (laraprice.com). Lara brought the coolest band last night. Nothing like the sound of a large group of talented musicians. Vince got me up on bass early in the evening and I just watched the rest of the night but the highlight was listening to the kick ass host band. Here is some video I got with my phone. Through the posts in the balcony (sorry). Killer groove on this song! The vocals are kind of lost but trust me, Lara sounded great and was great fun to watch.

Super Bowl Rally at Gallery 85
Well I always feel like an “artist” when I play in an art gallery 🙂
Vernon Davis of the San Francisco 49ers owns an art gallery in San Jose and I was asked to be a part of the “acoustic” line up. Unfortunately the “Niners” lost but the afternoon was really nice. Here is a video excerpt. It’s sooooo good to be back in the pocket (for the most part) with my singing voice. I’m back at the Ritz Carlton in Lake Tahoe this week end and looking forward to that.

Northstar Ritz Gig
Wow! I’m back on line and blogging again. I haven’t been “facebooking” for a while or blogging on my website. I lost my singing voice for about 4 weeks through the holidays and had to cancel some work. I hate canceling gigs like that not just cause of the money but I’m also still a new guy in the area and I need people to know I’m reliable. Whats also interesting is I didn’t feel like blogging or sharing on facebook while I didn’t have my voice. A little weird. Anyway, look out! My voice is back and I might start posting use less media once again 🙂
I took a picture of the Northstar Ritz set up. I did this job just before I lost my voice. Loved the gig. I use to work at the Ritz Carlton in Beaver Creek and singing for skiers is waaay fun!

A New Christmas CD
OK, OK, so the recording is a number of years old but I thought I would put together a Christmas EP (5 songs) before I play at the Ritz Carlton in Lake Tahoe this week end. Thankfully Christmas material never goes out of date 🙂 I’m looking forward to these bookings that have me perform 3 days before Christmas. There is nothing nicer than being in a ski resort like Northstar California during the holidays. I might even get my ski gear out. Look out legs! Here comes the work out 🙂
