Another Last Minute Gig Tonight. (Temple Bar)

The spring music season seems to be heating up. At least in my universe. Got a call today to play at “The Purty Kitchen” tonight in Dublin City Centre. http://http://www.purtykitchen.com/

I haven’t performed near as much in Temple Bar as I have around the Dublin area so this will be interesting and exciting. I’ll get to entertain some tourists. Maybe even some Americans. OMG! πŸ™‚ Β I’ll fire up around 9pm.

The Blarney Inn Friday March 9th

Had a ball last night at the Blarney Inn on Nassau St. We got asked to play again next Friday too. I love it when that happens. A spontaneous gig that could turn into a great regular gig. Β Thanks to Tom at the pub and Anthony Bools for getting us in the door!

Back in Celbridge March 11th

Once again the infamous Martin Murphy and Wil Roberts perform at “The Village Inn” in Celbridge as “The Groove Brothers” on March 10th. I’m still threatening to take the mic away from Martin during a gig unless he quits with the Wayne Newton impersonation at the end of “American Pie”.

St. Paddy’s Day looming on the horizon.

Schoolhouse pub Friday Nov. 4th

So I’m singing at the schoolhouse pub again tomorrow night. Not sure what to expect. It’s getting cold in Dublin now and the days are getting short. This is a cozy place to make music. I’m starting at 10pm.

Wil and Barry in Cellbridge

So my good friend and musical bud Barry Kavanagh is playing acoustic guitar with me Sunday night at the Village Inn in Celbridge, County Kildare on Sunday night. I usually play there as “The Groove Brothers” but Sunday is acoustic music night for the pub. I’m interested to see what kind of sings Barry brings to the table πŸ™‚ Barry has a better idea of what constitutes a great cover song in Ireland than I do. I’m still playing most of the American hits I played in the States. I’ll be on my Taylor acoustic. Love that guitar!

The Groove Brothers at “The Graduate Pub” in Killiney

The two man band I play in with my good friend and extremely talented drummer Martin Murphy performed at The Graduate last Saturday. What a nice pub and after dealing with some power amp issues Martin and I were up to entertaining the crowd. The Groove Brothers web site is: www.thegroovebrothersband.com. It’s great fun playing with Martin and the drums really help the dancers πŸ™‚

The Schoolhouse Pub, Dublin 4

Thanks again to Adam and the staff at the School House Pub in Dublin 4. They made my first couple of performances there easy and fun. I’m really looking forward to the gigs scheduled there in October!
