So I’m singing at the schoolhouse pub again tomorrow night. Not sure what to expect. It’s getting cold in Dublin now and the days are getting short. This is a cozy place to make music. I’m starting at 10pm.
Thanks Giving Day at The Schoolhouse Pub
Gigging tonight at the Schoolhouse Pub and its Thanks Giving in the States. Maybe I’ll have some one from the U.S. in the audience. I meet Americans often at this gig. Happy Thanks Giving to all the Americans out there!!
Oh yea, start time is 9pm for me.
Wil and Barry in Cellbridge
So my good friend and musical bud Barry Kavanagh is playing acoustic guitar with me Sunday night at the Village Inn in Celbridge, County Kildare on Sunday night. I usually play there as “The Groove Brothers” but Sunday is acoustic music night for the pub. I’m interested to see what kind of sings Barry brings to the table
Barry has a better idea of what constitutes a great cover song in Ireland than I do. I’m still playing most of the American hits I played in the States. I’ll be on my Taylor acoustic. Love that guitar!
The Groove Brothers at “The Graduate Pub” in Killiney
The two man band I play in with my good friend and extremely talented drummer Martin Murphy performed at The Graduate last Saturday. What a nice pub and after dealing with some power amp issues Martin and I were up to entertaining the crowd. The Groove Brothers web site is: www.thegroovebrothersband.com. It’s great fun playing with Martin and the drums really help the dancers
The Schoolhouse Pub, Dublin 4
Thanks again to Adam and the staff at the School House Pub in Dublin 4. They made my first couple of performances there easy and fun. I’m really looking forward to the gigs scheduled there in October!
